prevention

Knowledge is the best defense. We provide detailed guides on how to protect yourself, your family, and pets from tick bites. This includes safe tick removal techniques, how to dress for the outdoors, where ticks live, and region-specific prevention strategies.

Our goal is to help people avoid getting sick in the first place (especially kids and families who love spending time outside like I do). As we grow, we want to build guides, posters, and online tools that show people how to prevent tick bites in everyday life.

We’ll talk about things like wearing long socks in the woods, checking your skin after hikes, and using tick spray (even if it smells a little weird). I want to make it fun, not scary: like a “tick safety checklist” you can go through before going on an adventure.

Eventually, we hope to work with parks, schools, and summer camps to put up prevention signs and hand out free tick-removal kits. For pet owners, we want to make sure they know how to protect their dogs and cats too. Ticks don’t just affect people.

Prevention can be simple if people know what to look for. That’s what we’ll work toward – a future where every kid knows how to stay tick-safe without giving up the joy of being outdoors.
